Milena Marić

Milena Marić was born in Valjevo in 1978. She finished Valjevo Grammar School and the Faculty of Mathematics in Belgrade. She works as a mathematics teacher at the Ninth Belgrade Grammar School “Mihailo Petrović Alas”. She sees teaching as her life’s calling and deeply believes in the saying that “you teach what you know, but you educate by who you are”.

Having completed her degree before the Bologna reforms, she returned to her faculty and completed a master’s degree in the use of modern technologies in mathematics teaching. She has published two books on programming for primary school pupils and a methods handbook for mathematics teachers. She is also the author of several courses on Petlja.

She spent a year as part of the Petlja team. She is an active member of the Mathematical Society of Serbia, where until recently she worked on popularising mathematics and informatics among young people by leading a range of projects.

She believes in PFE’s mission and wants to make her contribution!
