What you ask
most often
Is registration free?
Yes, registration and participation are entirely free for every category, including the new Startup Arena.
Is a mentor compulsory?
Kids and Juniori must have a mentor (a teacher or a parent). Mediori and Seniori may have one, but it is not required. Startup Arena teams work independently.
Do we need a finished prototype to register?
No. To register, your team and mentor details are enough. The prototype is developed during the preparation period and brought along on the day of the competition.
Which materials are allowed?
Each category’s rules set out the permitted materials, components and programming environments. Download them from the category page.
Is there mentoring support before the competition?
Yes. Dečiji inovacioni centar runs preparation workshops in the weeks before the event. Dates are published on this site.
What if we are from another city or country?
The event is regional in character — we accept entries from across Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and North Macedonia. We help with logistics where needed.
How long does each category run?
From 90 minutes (Kids) to 6 hours (Seniori). The Startup Arena final is a 5-minute pitch in front of the jury. Full details are in each category’s rules.
What are the prizes?
Certificates and trophies for the top three places in every category. Startup Arena winners get a meeting with the investor jury and six months of mentoring.
